LeBron James was the main attraction at the 2023 ESPYS Awards. Apart from LeBron, his 8-year-old daughter Zhuri James caught the eye of most fans.

Savannah James was giving a speech about her husband and was about to use an NSFW comment to signify her point. However, Savannah was hilariously interrupted by Zhuri before she could use the NSFW word.

Savannah James: “I want to tell you what I think. I think LeBron James is the baddest mother–”

Zhuri James: “Mom.”

Following Zhuri’s interruption, the camera instantly showed LeBron’s reaction. James was slightly smiling and looked like the proudest father in the entire world.

Fans may have attended ESPYS for LeBron James, but they fell in love with Zhuri James’ innocence. To be honest, it overshadowed several other incidents at the ESPYS.

LeBron James Is Not Retiring Yet

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers were swept in the Conference Finals by the Denver Nuggets in the 2023 playoffs. After the elimination, James hinted at potentially retiring from the NBA after 20 seasons.

While most believed it was a ruse by James to put pressure on the Lakers, there was still a slight fear in fans about the King’s retirement. Well, the 38-year-old superstar confirmed he’ll return to play in the 2023-24 NBA season at the 2023 ESPYS.

“The day I can’t give the game everything on the floor is the day I’ll be done. Lucky for you guys, that day is not today.”

LeBron James has been a top player in the league throughout his career. But it’s safe to say that he’s approaching the twilight years of his career. He is missing a lot more games and has arguably gotten a step slow.

James could prove everyone wrong by not only leading the Lakers to a breathtaking 2023-24 season but also winning the fifth NBA Championship of his career.
