In the 29 games that Zion played in the 2022-23 NBA season, he averaged 26.0 PPG, 7.0 RPG, and 4.6 APG. Had he continued this form throughout the season, Williamson could have earned All-NBA honors.
But his season was cut short due to a hamstring injury in January 2023. His teammate CJ McCollum delivered a strong motivating message to him.
“Your ceiling is unlike anything the NBA has ever seen. But it’s up to you to take full advantage of whatever that is. I can’t want it for you. Mom can’t want it to you. Dad can’t want it to you.
