The Golden State Warriors and the Brooklyn Nets are both top-tier teams in their respective conferences this season. The Nets are 10-4 after their win against the Oklahoma City Thunder, while the Golden State Warriors are 11-2 after losing to the Charlotte Hornets. Regardless, both teams are viewed as contenders and will face one another on November 16th.

James Harden has recently spoken about what it means to face Stephen Curry and stated that the Nets “know what is at stake” while lauding Curry for “playing at a high level.

James Harden on facing the league-best Warriors: "We know what is at stake. Steph is playing at a high level… it is going to be a tough matchup."

We know what is at stake. Steph is playing at a high level… it is going to be a tough matchup.

There is no doubt that Stephen Curry has been on a tear, and he has even been touted as an early MVP candidate. It will be a test for the Brooklyn Nets, as they will be playing a legitimately good defensive team led by a superstar.

Kevin Durant also agreed that the Warriors are playing “at an elite level”. A lot of fans have suggested that the 2021-22 NBA Final will feature these two teams, but Kevin Durant reportedly expressed that the Brooklyn Nets are focused on getting better and aren’t looking at the game as a “Finals preview”. Nonetheless, fans are likely to speculate on a hypothetical Finals matchup after the game.

Kevin Durant says the Warriors are playing "at an elite level" but he says the Nets are not looking at this as a potential Finals preview or anything like that. Durant says Nets are focused on continuing to get better.

Tuesday will feature a battle between two tough, experienced teams. It will be a matchup between arguably the greatest scorer ever, and the best shooter to ever live. Essentially, must-watch TV for any NBA fan.

The Brooklyn Nets may be missing Kyrie Irving, but a James Harden-Kevin Durant duo is more than enough to face any team in the league. Perhaps they can beat the Warriors and their defense, and regardless, it should be a very close game.
