The Denver Nuggets pulled off an incredible 130-127 win over the Warriors, capped off by a Nikola Jokic buzzer-beating halfcourt three. The Warriors led by 16 in the last five minutes of the game after outscoring the Nuggets by 20 points in the third, but Jokic ensured the defending champions took the win.
Fans were shocked to see the game end the way it did.

Fans joked about how Jokic hit a buzzer-beater on Stephen Curry’s home court after a running joke all season about Curry missing game-winners on buzzer-beaters.

Love Curry but the ending of this game was a perfect of example of how big of a gap there is between him and Jokic

Laker fans know about how Jokic heaving the ball usually ends up finding the net after the 2023 playoff matchup and were happy to see the Warriors be on the wrong end of it.
when jokic just throw the ball up with no real jumpshot base attached to it, he's gotta be shooting 98%

The Nuggets had multiple high-performers, led by Jokic, who dropped 34 points, nine rebounds, and 10 assists. Aaron Gordon was a fourth-quarter monster and ended the night with 30 points and nine rebounds. Jamal Murray chipped in with 25 points of his own, while Peyton Watson dropped 19 off the bench.
Stephen Curry led the way for Golden State with a 30-point night, while also getting a strong performance from Klay Thompson who had 24 points. Andrew Wiggins, Brandin Podziemski, and Dario Saric had double-digits off the bench, while Jonathan Kuminga had 16 points as a starter.
The Warriors Will Be Devastated
This was arguably the worst way the Warriors could have lost this game. The Nuggets controlled the first half of the game, but Golden State railroaded them in the third quarter. The 44 points Golden State scored were the most they have in a single quarter this season, with the Nuggets only managing 24 in return. Ultimately, the Warriors blew a nearly 20-point lead in the fourth, especially while leading the Nuggets by 16 points with five minutes left.
Curry and Thompson both delivered, but there were odd moments from Steve Kerr throughout the game. The biggest rotational flaw had to be sitting Jonathan Kuminga in the fourth quarter after he racked up 16 points in just 19 minutes. He’s their best defensive frontcourt player right now and would’ve at least limited Aaron Gordon as AG dropped 15 points in the fourth quarter. Kuminga should have played a bigger role and it’s baffling that he didn’t.
A win would have helped the Warriors return to .500 and jump the Lakers in the standings for the 10th seed. Instead, they remain behind the Lakers and just a game ahead of 12th-seeded Jazz, who may fancy their chances at a run.
The dynasty is dying nastily, and the team is quickly running out of options to rectify their season.
