Paul George is one of the most popular players in the modern NBA. Since 2010, George has shown incredible skill, determination, and fighting spirit to establish himself as one of the best players in the league. George has served as a role model for many young players. And the son of one of his former teammates has called him his GOAT.

During an interview, Kiyan Anthony, son of legendary NBA player Carmelo Anthony, was asked in an interview whether Paul George was the best player in the NBA. Anthony responded that George was ‘the best player ever’ and ‘the GOAT’ before clarifying that he meant George was the GOAT for him.

Kiyan also named George, Kobe Bryant, and his father Carmelo Anthony as the three best players in NBA history. Kiyan clearly thinks the world of George, and his incredibly versatile game is something he admires to a great degree. George is a player who many young players have acknowledged for inspiring their own playing styles.

Paul George Is The Blueprint For Modern NBA Players

For many young players coming into the NBA, George is the prototype of what they want to be a. George is a big wing player who can play elite defense while being a solid shooter and an incredible slasher. PG13 is a jack of all trades, someone who can seemingly do it all on the court.

For Kiyan, he would have gotten an up-close look at Paul George during his father’s brief stint in OKC, where Anthony and George were teammates. Many fans consider George’s stint with the Thunder to be his best, as he was able to contend for the 2019 MVP award during his time there.

This all-rounder status did not come overnight for George. He recently admitted that he was a terrible defender when he was younger and that he had to work very hard to become an elite defender. That hard work paid off, as George, when he is healthy, is one of the best defenders in the NBA.
