LeBron James is an example of what any player trying to make it into the NBA should aspire to be. James has been excellent on the court since he walked into the NBA, and even at his advanced age, he is still playing at the highest level and maintaining himself in great shape. But one of the best attributes of LeBron James is his professionalism.
Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra, who coached LeBron to 2 NBA championships, spoke about how much of a professional LeBron James was during his time with Miami.
“LeBron was dialed into everything. Always one of the first in the building. Never late for anything, like a meeting, an airplane. I think it was almost an OCD that he had to be early just to go through his mental preparation. His locker was pristine… Sometimes players will have their whole season in front of their locker. We don’t let players do that…”
“That was one thing that we never had to even discuss with him. The first time I saw him in the locker room, he was folding up his clothes and putting it perfectly in a pile. And then he didn’t want anybody else’s stuff spilling over into his workspace. Those are some of the minor details. How you do anything is how you do everything and he’s a perfect example of that”.
Erik Spoelstra on LeBron James' extreme professionalism is something we can all learn from.

LeBron James Could Face His Old Coach Again
LeBron James and Erik Spoelstra found a lot of success together, going to 4 consecutive NBA Finals and winning 2 NBA championships in a row. But now, both of them are trying to lead their respective teams to the NBA Finals. Coach Spo and the Miami Heat are two wins away from going back to the Eastern Conference Finals.
LeBron James and the Lakers on the other hand are struggling, now just one loss away from being knocked out by the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals. LeBron James sent a scary message to the Nuggets ahead of Game 4, but he will have to work hard if he wants to go back to the NBA Finals with the Lakers.
Could we see a repeat of the 2020 NBA Finals between the Lakers and the Heat?
