Anthony Davis hasn’t had the best 2023 NBA Playoffs, being inconsistent during the first two rounds of the postseason. The Los Angeles Lakers big man is well aware of what people expect from him, and even though he’s posted big numbers for the Lakers, criticism hasn’t stopped.

After his big Game 3 against the Golden State Warriors, AD sent a big message to haters, making it clear he’s not paying attention to what people have to say about him.

“Hell nah, I’m not on social media and it’s been that way for about four months,” Davis told Bleacher Report while at his locker stall on Saturday. “I don’t know what anybody is saying. Most times it’s just clickbait to draw ratings. I don’t give that s–t any attention.”

Davis stated that his family is his biggest concern outside of basketball and he has enough voices within the Lakers organization to listen to. All the narratives leading to this game were unknown to AD, who simply got to work and dominated the Warriors.

“I’ve got three kids and a wife I want to keep happy. I don’t need any other stress,” the 30-year-old told B/R. “You obviously want to compete at the highest level and perform to your best, but s–t, it doesn’t go that way sometimes.

“I don’t know what was said, and I don’t care. I got 15 motherf–kers in this locker room and a coaching staff that I listen to. Outside of them, it’s my strong support system. They’re the only voices I let in.”

It’s obvious that he wants to be better. Over the years, many people have criticized him for being unreliable. Injuries and his bad performances have been responsible for all the bad comments about AD.

Now, he knows what’s at stake and wants to help his team compete for the biggest trophy of all. It won’t be easy, as the Lakers have a big rival now and the next one won’t be easy by any means.

Anthony Davis Has Been Called Out For Lack Of Consistency

Davis’ lack of consistency has been a constant complaint against him for a while now. When everything points out he’ll be consistently great, Davis shocks people by looking lost on the court.

He’s well aware of the things he didn’t do in Game 2 and made the adjustments, but now he needs to confirm his good moment with another big performance in Game 4. The Brow can do great things this postseason, but if he fails to succeed, the Lakers will have a hard time facing the Golden State Warriors.
