It wasn’t pretty by any means, but the Los Angeles Lakers got a much-needed 121-107 win over the Phoenix Suns on Friday night.

The Lakers struggled against an undermanned Suns outfit but they’ll take the win any which way it comes. Fans were happy that the team finally got their act together in the fourth quarter to improve to 42-39 on the season, which clinched a winning record.

A Lakers fan believes they will be the sixth seed by the end of the regular season.

Austin Reaves and Malik Beasley had great games here and a fan hilariously compared them to Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.

A fan admitted it was an ugly win over the Suns but was happy with the three-point shooting, as the Lakers shot 18-36 from beyond the arc.

Not the best win but we'll take it. Our 3 point shooting was insane πŸ”₯

A Lakers fan thinks that the Kings should hope the Warriors win their last game, as the Lakers would beat them if they met in the first round.

The kings better hope the warriors win on sunday.

The stars of the show for the Lakers were Austin Reaves who had 22 points to go with 5 assists and D’Angelo Russell who finished with 24 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. Malik Beasley also had a good showing as he racked up 21 points off the bench. LeBron James struggled here though as he only had 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists while shooting 6-19 from the field. Anthony Davis, meanwhile, scored just 14 points on 4-12 shooting but was dominant on the glass with 21 rebounds and he also had 3 blocks.

The Lakers returned to the seventh seed with this win, as the New Orleans Pelicans had overtaken them earlier after a win over the New York Knicks. This win also keeps alive their hopes of finishing in the top six in the Western Conference, as they can get in if they win their last game and the Clippers or Warriors fail to win any of their remaining games.

LeBron James Spoke On The Only Issue For The Lakers

While it was an undermanned Suns team, it is still good to see that the Lakers have role players now who can actually step up when the two stars don’t have it going. It is not a situation LeBron has often found himself in and he’d be happy to see his teammates get the job done.

Lakers insider Jovan Buha said that LeBron and AD believe in this group of players around them and they will be backing themselves to make a deep postseason run. As for what could derail them, LeBron says it’s just injuries. He feels injuries have been the Lakers’ Achilles Heel the last two seasons and thinks if they stay healthy, they’ll be fine.
