The Los Angeles Lakers found a way to win on Saturday over a depleted Bulls team, but to say it was a pretty game would be far from the truth. In reality, it was a truly ugly affair between two struggling teams, and LeBron James had, arguably, his worst performance of the season.

Pouring in just 16 points on 33% shooting, James never really found his rhythm and was clowned for a particularly brutal shot attempt down the stretch of the game.

It’s obviously a very uncharacteristic moment for James, but fans still had fun giving him a hard time about it.

Even in misses, some fans will never hate on James.

Other fans, however, are looking at things more seriously when it comes to LeBron and his play.

Of course, there were also users who couldn’t get over the shock at seeing LeBron miss the rim that badly.

Love him or hate him, it’s rare to see LeBron miss in such a horrible fashion, and he delivers more often that not for his team. But tonight’s clip is proof that even the King misses his mark from time to time. Of course, despite the poor shooting, James still found other ways to be effective and it was enough to pull away with the win and give the Lakers a chance to avoid the play-in tournament.

Lakers Believe They Can Make A Run

With just one game left to go this season, the Lakers have one last chance to change the standings and control their fate heading into the postseason. If they beat the Jazz on Sunday, and the Warriors lose to the Trail Blazers, they’ll end the season as the sixth seed in the West.

And once they get in, the Lakers whole-heartedly believe they can take on any team in the league with LeBron and AD healthy.

“We just want to put ourselves in a position to be able to compete for a championship,” LeBron said. “It’s a journey and obviously, we don’t have as much chemistry as a lot of other teams that are trying to compete for a championship or have aspirations to win a championship, but I like what we’ve been building over the last month or so.”

Tonight was not the finest performance from LeBron or Anthony Davis, but the result proves that they have enough depth around those two to go toe-to-toe against anybody.

Beyond that, it remains to be seen how long L.A. can remain competitive, but they have a chance to pull off something really special this year and they will not let the opportunity go to waste. It’s truly now or never for the 17x champs.
