The currently ongoing game between the Chicago Bulls and the Los Angeles Lakers has huge playoff implications for both teams. As of right now, both teams are in the play-in tournament and are trying to remain in that position or make the playoffs outright.

During the game, center Nikola Vucevic got ejected by the officials following double technical fouls. A lot of fans reacted to the event. Some fans thought that the league was trying to help the Lakers win this game.

Other fans, however, thought that this was a fair ejection. Vucevic was definitely getting heated at the official during the time of his ejection.

Some people simply criticized the referees. This season, there has been an increase in the number of fans and players alike who complain about the referees.

We all know everyone came to see those refs. Not Lebron's return, not the Bulls' trio, not AD, but those refs.

It will be interesting to see if the Chicago Bulls end up winning the game in spite of Nikola Vucevic’s ejection. He definitely does a lot for their offense as a stretch center, but perhaps they’ll manage to do without him.

As of right now, Nikola Vucevic is averaging 17.7 PPG, 11.3 RPG, and 3.3 APG for the Chicago Bulls. There’s no doubt that he is having a good season, and it’ll be interesting to see what he does in free agency this season.

Nikola Vucevic Previously Thought The Bulls Wouldn’t Be Able To Turn Their Season Around

There is no doubt that the Bulls have had an inconsistent year, and they are back in the play-in tournament picture. However, it definitely looked different for them a few weeks ago, and Nikola Vucevic previously thought that the team wouldn’t be able to turn their season around.

โ€œMaybe 30 games ago, but now itโ€™s hard to look at it that way. It doesnโ€™t really depend on us anymore. I mean, it does. We have to win. But weโ€™re depending on the people in front of us, on how they do. So itโ€™s hard to say after 65 games we didnโ€™t figure it out. Itโ€™s tough to believe that somethingโ€™s just going to (click) like that. Weโ€™ll see. Weโ€™re going to keep fighting, keep hoping something happens. But itโ€™s obvious weโ€™ve put ourselves in a very difficult spot now.โ€

It is clear that Nikola Vucevic probably thinks differently now, and the Chicago Bulls will have a chance to make the playoffs this season if they advance through the play-in tournament.

Hopefully, we see Nikola Vucevic continue to play well, as he will be key to the Chicago Bulls making the playoffs this season. He has had a bounce-back season this year, and perhaps he will continue to be elite offensively in the postseason.
