Draymond Green must not be feeling too good today. After some explosive trash talk from him towards Dillon Brooks, Green failed to lead his Warriors to a win over Brooks’ Grizzlies.
The pair even got into a confrontation mid-game. Brooks seemed pleased after the win and trash-talked Draymond before ending his post-game interview.
“You should give that mic to Draymond. Make him keep talking about me so I can play better.”

Draymond Green told the world that if the Memphis Grizzlies were to have a championship dynasty, the dynasty will begin after the franchise moved on from Dillon Brooks. People thought Green was being too hard while many fans loved it due to Brooks’ reputation as an agitator and dirty player.
Brooks had 14 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds on the night. While he wasn’t the star for the Grizz, he played very solid defense and delivered whenever the team needed him to. Draymond was possibly the best Warrior not named Stephen Curry, but his 16 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 steals weren’t enough to help them take the win.
Can Tne Grizzlies Hold Steady Without Ja Morant?
The beef between Brooks and Green in the last few days made people forget that Memphis is arguably one of the most drama-filled teams in the league at the moment.
Their star point guard Ja Morant is expected to be out for at least 4 more games as he works on getting his mental stability after pulling out a gun in a club, which has led to heaps of controversy and mockery. The Grizzlies are deep enough to keep rolling in the regular season, and this win over the Warriors proved that.
Hopefully, Morant can return to the squad at the end of the regular season and be ready to make a playoff push with this team. Otherwise, it seems they have the depth to challenge the Sacramento Kings to regain the second seed in the West.
