Anonymous NBA Agent Says Victor Wembanyama Will Become The GOAT If He Stays Healthy

The NBA has more talent than ever at the moment. The MVP race is a testament to that, with the likes of Nikola Jokic, Jayson Tatum, Giannis Antetokoumpo, and Luka Doncic all vying to be crowned the best in the league this season. And there are a lot of other rising superstars and superstars around as well, including a candidate to be considered the GOAT, LeBron James.

But there is a player due to join the league soon that could reign supreme over all of them. A strong undercurrent this season has been the potential arrival of Victor Wembanyama. The Frenchman is the most hyped player before being drafted a long time. He has a huge frame, and he moves and shoots like a guard, which means that the expectations from him are incredibly high.

Victor Wembanyama Could Be Greater Than Michael Jordan And LeBron James, Claims An NBA Agent

NBA executives, agents, and analysts are all buzzing over Wembanyama and his unbelievable potential. Teams have been urged to tank for him, too, with his talent potentially being able to change the entire league in the future. And while he has already received a lot of hyperbolic praise, the biggest compliment has come from an anonymous NBA agent who spoke to Forbes about what Victor can be in the NBA.

“If he’s not hurt, he’ll be the greatest player ever,” said the agent, who has multiple clients playing overseas and in the NBA.

“He’s the best player in the league and the level of players he’s playing against are the best players in the Pac-12, the best college players, borderline NBA guys — and he’s dominating,” the agent added. “Dominating.

“Wembanyama’s physicality, I think people underestimate because he’s so thin. He’s a physically strong dude. When everything opens in the NBA, he’s going to be unstoppable, totally unstoppable. He’ll be the best rim protector in the NBA from day one. And then offensively he’ll be an efficient, unstoppable force from day one.”

The debate around who the GOAT is continues to rage on between Michael Jordan and LeBron James, with some even throwing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in there. For Wembanyama to surpass any of these players’ achievements would be a tall ask, despite his insane skillset. The hype around him probably needs to cool down just a little, too much pressure can also sometimes end up causing problems for even the best of the best.
