The 2022/23 NBA season is closer by the day, and many people have started to predict what will happen once another incredible campaign gets underway next month. After a 2021/22 season full of emotions, fans are ready to see what’s next for their favorite team, the usual contenders, and those who will try to make some noise in the association.

While some name the best players on every team for the upcoming season and list the favorites to win the most important awards of the league, others have gone further and started predicting who will come out victorious next year.

This is a common practice these days, as everyone tries to guess what will happen in a league where everything can change in just a second.

Matt Barnes Says Warriors Will Beat Bucks In Next Year’s NBA Finals

Former NBA player-turned-analyst recently attended an NBA 2K event where he talked about the immediate future of the league and what might happen once the action begins. He was inquired about the next NBA champion, and Barnes responded with the Golden State Warriors repeating next year.

“You are going to put me on the spot,” Barnes said after Joey Mistretta of Clutch Points asked him to make his NBA Finals prediction. “I think in the Western Conference it’s going to be between Golden State and the Clippers. And in the Eastern Conference, I love Brooklyn if they can get their sh*t together, but I don’t know if they can. So I’m going to say it’s going to be a rematch between a healthy Milwaukee and hopefully a healthy Boston. I got Milwaukee against Golden State, and I got Golden State getting one more championship.”

The Dubs are now the team to beat, and not only teams in the West like the Clippers, Suns, Grizzlies, Nuggets, and Mavericks will try to dethrone them, but the Celtics, Nets, and Bucks will try to do the same unless they get stopped on their way to the Finals. This upcoming season promises a lot of great things, and we can’t wait to see who will rule the NBA in 2023.
