LeBron James is one of the best players in the league currently, and he has had a spectacular season with the Los Angeles Lakers. He averaged 30.3 PPG, 8.2 RPG, and 6.2 APG for the team this year.

There have been some suggestions that LeBron James could leave the Los Angeles Lakers if they “punt” another season. A potential destination that has frequently been mentioned is the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron James’ former team.

NBA insider Jake Fischer has recently appeared on The Wine And Gold Talk podcast, and he suggested that the Cleveland Cavaliers would only go for a reunion with their former superstar if it was on “shared terms”, and suggested that they would be trying to add him to what they’re doing, rather than letting LeBron James be the focal point.

“It was explained to me that a reunion from Cleveland’s side of things would have to be on shared terms… I think it’s going to be more of a, ‘How can we make this work for all of us? How can we be a team? How can we add you to what we’re doing?’”

There is no doubt that the Cleveland Cavaliers could potentially be a playoff team next year, even without LeBron James. They have two All-Stars in Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen, as well as a promising prospect in Evan Mobley, who is primed to take a leap next season.

However, adding LeBron James would definitely make the Cleveland Cavaliers into a top-tier team in the Eastern Conference, and most people would likely consider them a championship-caliber team with the addition of the superstar. While it is unlikely that LeBron James will leave the Lakers, the Cavaliers could definitely be a great franchise on which James could spend the final years of his career.
