It is hard to believe that more than two years have passed since the tragic death of the NBA legend Kobe Bryant. Even today, it feels like Bryant was among us just recently, unfortunately, that is not the truth.

But even after he passed away, NBA fans and players alike have not forgotten the legacy that the Los Angeles Lakers legend left behind. He played in the NBA for 20 years and left some pretty great memories for the fans to cherish.

On the other hand, after retiring from the league, the Mamba had always been keen on helping out NBA players to improve their game. If not that, he seemed to always be in appreciation of some of the greats of this generation.

One such player who made arguably the most impact on the game of basketball in this generation is none other than the Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry.

Curry is still playing at an elite level and he is one of the most loved players by the fans. His head coach Steve Kerr shared the reason why Steph is one of the most beloved players in the world in an interview.

Anyway, the 3-time NBA Champion recently joined in for a conversation with Sam Amick of ‘The Athletic,’ During the conversation, Curry revealed the details about the final time he met Kobe in person, before the unfortunate demise of the NBA legend.

Via The Athletic:

I was in LA and had dinner with him and one of his business associates. He was an open book. But I remember just sitting down and him taking me on a journey of what he had been doing before he retired, in that first year after he retired, and then what he was currently doing. All of it sounded amazing because it was true to him and authentic in terms of what story he was trying to tell, and what was important to him at that moment. And a lot of it was centered around his kids, and the girls, so that was the most inspirational thing. … That was the last time I saw him in person.”

Kobe was always someone who gave time to his family and even Steph’s story features the details about how much of a family man the Mamba was.

It’s stories like this one that make fans miss the legend even more. No matter how many years pass, fans and players will never forget the impact that Bryant had on their lives.
