Alex Antetokounmpo Scores 28 Points, Shooting 6-9 From 3 In His Spanish League Debut

Alex Antetokounmpo, the youngest Antetokounmpo brother, made his debut with UCAM Murcia’s B-team over the weekend, posting very good numbers in his first game as a pro. Antetokounmpo decided to join the Spanish side after high school to improve his level and have some big-league experience before entering the NBA draft.

Following the good performances of his brothers in the league, Alex is set to join them in the future and he’s already showing flashes of what he can do in Europe and the NBA. He hit the floor on Sunday with Murcia’s B-team, going off with 28 points on 8-12 shooting, including 6-9 from deep. All of this in only 28 minutes on the court.

Alex has the talent to be good wherever he plays. Last year his oldest brother Giannis claimed he believed Alex could be better than him in the future. That is bold coming from a 2x NBA MVP.

“I definitely think Alex can be better than me,” Antetokounmpo told Mirin Fader of Bleacher Report. “He stays motivated. He wants this. That’s what makes him special. He’s not satisfied.”

The Antetokounmpo clan could add one more member in the NBA if Alex keeps playing at this level. Seeing what Luka Doncic and his brother have done in the league so far, perhaps he won’t be as overlooked as other European players trying to make it to the association.

The future looks bright for this kid, but he still has to prove he can have the same performance against the biggest teams in Spain, like Real Madrid or Barcelona.
