The Minnesota Timberwolves made one of the biggest moves of the offseason when they traded for Rudy Gobert. The 3x Defensive Player of the Year is a big addition to the team that is trying to take it to the next level and compete against the best teams in the West.

In recent days, Karl-Anthony Towns made a big claim about the Timberwolves’ chances to win it all next season, saying it was ‘championship or bust’ for them following Rudy’s addition. The Dominican-American player showed how confident he is on his team, putting a lot of pressure on them.

Anthony Edwards recently chimed in on this, agreeing with his teammate, claiming that Gobert’s presence gives the T-Wolves that extra they need to compete for a championship.

KAT said y’all are championship or bust team this year, you agree and why?

For sure. Adding Rudy puts that pressure on us. I agree with that.

Did you see Draymond Green laughing at that?

Nah, I didn’t see it. Haha, you know Draymond a fool man. He’s gonna put his two cents on anybody’s comment.

Ant is pretty confident in himself and those around him. Proof of that is that he believes he’ll be one of the best players in the NBA after this campaign.

Yeah for sure. I need another year. After this year, I think I’ll be in the (best player) conversation.

The Timberwolves already surprised everybody last year, making it to the play-in tournament as the 7th seed, beating the Los Angeles Clippers to reach the playoff, and then forcing Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies to six games in the first round.

Even though they lost a big chunk of their core in the Rudy Gobert trade, the team is confident they can get things done with the Frenchman on the court.
