- Ben Simmons has been enjoying his downtime
- Simmons is reportedly ready to make a roaring comeback
- Nets still believe Simmons can become an All-Star in the coming season
Ben Simmons is enjoying his downtime fishing, and he made sure the world saw it when he reeled out a 90lbs amberjack out of the water.
The Brooklyn Nets guard took to Instagram to share a story of his catch earlier, and safe to say, he’s all smiles for whopping up the giant fish.

It’s good to see Simmons enjoying some off-season fun, considering how tumultuous the last couple of seasons have been for the constantly under-fire point guard.
Despite coming off a dismal 2022-23 season where he averaged a career-low 6.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 6.1 assists, the Aussie is expected to remain in Brooklyn heading into the next season.
Maybe, Simmons will return to be the All-star talent that he surely is, and prove a point to critics who have written him off.
Ben Simmons Is Primed To Return To Form
Earlier, reports of a ready and raring-to-go Ben Simmons did the rounds. NBA insider Marc Spears wrote that the guard could just rediscover his mojo.
“I talked to somebody close to [Ben Simmons],” wrote Marc Spears. “They would say, ‘I would say he’s in the final stage of prep for the season and he has passed every benchmark and is as healthy as he has ever been since his last year in Philly.'”
Perimeter shooting and health have been two main concerns for Simmons during all of his time in the NBA. But with the new developments suggesting that he’s been putting in the work, chances are that the Nets might see a new and improved guard who could greatly impact their chances of winning with Mikal Bridges in the fold.
This has been the tune pretty much over the season, and for the fans and pundits, seeing is believing. So until Simmons scorches the floor, there will always be questions.
