Bob Myers On Stephen Curry Contract Extension With The Golden State Warriors: “I Feel Pretty Good About Him Wanting To Be Around.”

2 Min Read

The Golden State Warriors have been inconsistent up until this point in the season, barely hovering above .500. They have a 19-18 record and are the 9th seed in the Western Conference. They need to turn it around fairly quickly. Stephen Curry’s contract runs out at the end of the 2021-22 season, and if the team continues being bad, then he may decide to leave. Superstars want to compete. He has not yet signed an extension with the Golden State Warriors, and to some fans, that’s a cause of concern.

However, Bob Myers wasn’t too worried. When asked about Stephen Curry’s extension, Myers spoke confidently about the prospect of Curry staying with the Warriors, as he enjoys the organization and the teammates.

Bob Myers’ confidence isn’t unfounded. The Golden State Warriors are widely known to have an elite front office, one that makes solid moves via trade and in the draft. While the Golden State Warriors haven’t completely figured it out this season, Stephen Curry is still surrounded by some talented young players who could extend the Warriors’ dynasty. Curry is in a great environment: we know that the Warriors will do everything they can to compete while Curry is there.

The day Stephen Curry leaves Golden State will be a sad one for many fans of our basketball generation. Hopefully, the Warriors and Curry to come to an agreement soon. That would put the minds of many fans at ease, and we would continue to marvel at the sight of Curry in a Warriors jersey.
