Stephen Curry has been nothing but great ever since he stepped foot on the NBA. The point guard improved his game season after season and right now is one of the best basketball players on earth. Curry is one of the most influential players in recent history for all the things he did with the Golden State Warriors.

However, there’s an unknown reason that makes people hate him, even though he’s one of the coolest and most accomplished guys out there. That has been the normal thing for the 3x NBA champion even before he won his first title with the Warriors and that practice hasn’t changed over the past couple of years. Curry gets a lot of shade every day and this season wasn’t the exception, knowing how bad the Warriors played last year without him and Klay Thompson.

Well, Draymond Green came in his defense recently, calling out the people that criticize Curry and his legacy, explaining that he’s done more than enough to be considered an all-time great.

“I think the thing that bothers me most is people questioning his legacy at the beginning of this season,” Green said Wednesday morning on ESPN’s “First Take, via NBC Sports.” “One season doesn’t make a legacy, nor does one game make a legacy and we see that a lot when you start talking about the greats like Steph, LeBron James and people trying to hang their legacy off one season or one game.

“I think it’s the most ridiculous thing ever. It goes to show how few legacies there truly are and why people don’t truly understand what a legacy really is.”

Draymond reminded everybody of how great the 32-year-old was over the weekend, winning the 3-point contest and dominating the All-Star Game with his long-range. Steph was really something else and Green praised him because he always brings that energy wherever goes.

“The way he showed up and showed out on Sunday night at All-Star Sunday in Atlanta, winning the 3-Point Contest in the fashion that he did, it kind of jumpstarted the All-Star Game — getting the energy in there, that’s who Steph is,” Green said. “He brings the energy to the gym. I thought it was amazing, and like I said, it was very indicative of what Steph Curry is showing and saying to the world this year.”

Curry remains one of the biggest names in the game right now and he’s ready to continue his good moment in the NBA. He recently stated he’s ready to accomplish more things in the league but he’s not trying to prove anything. He did that a long time ago.
