Few high school players have the kind of focus and scrutiny on them that Bronny James does. Being the son of LeBron James comes with its pressures, and Bronny is expected to make it to the NBA and be great. He has the talent at the high school level and is showing promise, but it’s a long road to make it to the league.

Bronny James is 18 years old and will finish high school soon. His future before potentially declaring for the NBA draft remains a question mark though. Bronny is uncommitted at the moment to any college programs and there are other options. The G League route has become popular in recent years, and the Australian NBL is reportedly trying to sign him as well.

Considering who he is, for any programs to recruit Bronny James means there is a serious process to go through, as one college coach revealed. The goal for Bronny is the NBA though, and after being named a McDonald’s All-American, he will now have another opportunity to impress executives in the league.

Bronny James Is On The USA Basketball Roster For The 2023 Nike Hoop Summit

The Nike Hoop Summit is an international basketball All-Star game featuring the USA Basketball Junior Select Team and a World’s Select Team of international players. This event is important because of the young talent on display and NBA executives regularly make it a point to be around to look at prospects. And Bronny James has been chosen for the USA roster for this year’s game.

USA Basketball just announced its roster for the US team at the Nike Hoop Summit.

Isaiah Collier, DaJuan Wagner Jr., and Justin Edwards are among the other top high school players that will also feature at the Summit. Playing alongside and against serious talents like this is an excellent platform for Bronny to showcase his abilities with NBA scouts watching. He has to decide on his next step soon, but he seems to be in all the right places he needs to be at the moment.

The truth of the matter is that it would be very unlikely for Bronny James to not get a shot in the NBA. His parentage is relevant and cannot be ignored, but he has also shown the potential to be a top player without the buff of being LeBron James‘ son. This is the time for him to shine and the Nike Hoop Summit will be an excellent opportunity for him to do so.
