Bruce Brown is set to hit the bank this 2023 NBA free agency, and many teams are already preparing a move for this player, who balled his way to a huge contract this offseason.

That said, there are several teams interested in his services, and the Dallas Mavericks are reportedly ready to make a big push for the former Brooklyn Nets player.

“According to Marc Stein, the Mavs have created a viable pathway to the $12.4 million midlevel exception to pursue “top wings’ in free agency. The starting point of those efforts will be Bruce Brown.

“Dallas instead used Bertans’ contract to move down two spots in the draft to select Duke center Dereck Lively II at No. 12 and likewise move far enough away from luxury-tax territory to gain use of the full non-taxpayers’ $12.4 midlevel exception in free agency to pursue top wings in free agency (starting with Denver’s Bruce Brown),” Stein wrote, via Sports Illustrated.

After winning the 2023 NBA championship with the Denver Nuggets, Brown is one of the most coveted free agents in the league. He declined his player option for next year and is set to command much more than the $6.8 million he would have gotten if he didn’t decline this option

The Nuggets can offer him $7.8 million in a new deal, which could pave the way for them to re-sign Brown for a larger contract next year.

However, other teams could take advantage of this, offer more money to the player and get a big steal in free agency.

Denver Nuggets Are Likely To Lose Bruce Brown In The Free Market

Brown is one of the players that helped the Nuggets conquer the 2023 NBA championship, and plenty of teams will be ready to steal his services. The Nuggets are ‘likely’ to lose him once the free market opens.

The Mavericks are ready to assemble a championship-caliber team and what best option than landing a player that just won the title?

This is an exciting option for them and could be the beginning of something good. They have Kyrie Irving atop their priority list, but adding Brown to the roster should be really high too.
