Devin Booker Got A Tattoo With Something Kobe Signed On His Shoes In 2016: “Be Legendary.”

2 Min Read

Devin Booker recently made his first-ever NBA All-Star appearance and it was well-earned.

This season, he’s averaging 25.9 points, 6.4 assists, and 4.1 rebounds per game on 48% shooting. Though the Suns are not currently in the playoff picture, they have a lot of potential in the years to come.

One could say his inspiring efforts would make even Kobe proud.

In fact, it seems Booker is following through on a challenge issued to him by Kobe in 2016 by the Mamba. After one game, during his final season, Kobe signed Booker’s shoes with the words “Be legendary.” Now, over a month since his death, Book is getting those same words tattooed on his arm.

The tweet below features all the pictures, including the shoes and Booker’s tat.

Kobe was an inspiration for countless players and fans all around the world. His belief in loyalty, hard work and dedication helped initiate the “Mamba mentality” that we all know so well today.

Booker is just one of many who have immortalized Bryant and his legacy. Among a series of memorials and tributes, here is a young NBA superstar remembering two simple words from Bryant that will, hopefully, lead him down the same legendary path.
