The news that Doc Rivers has been fired by the Philadelphia 76ers broke on Tuesday morning, and naturally, it became a big topic of conversation. While most of it is about what the Sixers will do next, there are also questions about Rivers’ future.

Doc Rivers won a championship with the Boston Celtics, but his time with the Los Angeles Clippers and the Philadelphia 76ers was marred by playoff failures. And Dwight Howard, who has been hilariously asking vilified NBA players to play in Taiwan, tweeted afterward implying Rivers should also move.

“We’ll need a Great coach for this Dreamteam,” Howard tweeted, just after news of River’s firing broke.

The Dream Team Dwight Howard is talking about is of players like Chris Paul, Deandre Ayton, Jordan Poole, and Kevin Durant, among others. These are all stars that underperformed during the playoffs and have been blasted by fans and media alike.

“Jordan Poole, come on. Julius Randle, come on. Ben Simmons, come on, man. Nobody beating nobody. Klay, you can slide down here too, my boy. Deandre Ayton, you and CP3, come on. KD, come on, KD. They talking ’bout him coming back to Houston, but I think this might be a better look, James Harden, come on down too, boy.”

Ever since he moved to Taiwan to play basketball, Dwight Howard seems like he’s been having the time of his life. He has filmed commercials and put up absurd stats on the side, it seems he wants every NBA star to have the sort of top time he’s been having there. After constantly being in high-pressure jobs, it might not even be the worst idea for Doc Rivers.

Dwight Howard Tweeted At Ja Morant To Join Him In Taiwan As Well

Dwight Howard is having a field day with this bit that he’s doing. No NBA players will go play overseas in their prime when they are still getting big contracts, but the lack of pressure does sound good. And with Ja Morant awaiting an NBA suspension, he might be the most realistic target for Howard’s hilarious plan

“Aye Ja you gone get it right! I’m still with you if anyone else ain’t you could come out here to Taiwan if anything just leave it home.”

It’s unlikely that Howard will convince anyone else to join him in Taiwan, but this is an entertaining sidebar for everyone to enjoy today. The intensity of the NBA can get very real during and right after playoff time, but at least fans have Dwight Howard making them laugh.
