The NBA title race for the 2022-23 season may be one of the most intriguing ones in recent memory. It’s impossible to predict which team can win in such a surprising season.

Some of the game’s all-time greats in Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Giannis Antetokounmpo, have a chance at adding another ring to their name and fans debated who they’d rather see emerge victorious.

One fan wanted Curry to win, “Curry to pass LeBron as the greatest player of this generation.”

The Giannis fans were out in full swing, “Giannis and it’s not even close. A homegrown dude who did it with only borderline All-Stars in Middleton & Jrue??? I’ll root for him every time.”

A fan also wants LeBron to get to his fifth ring, “Bron 5.”

Another fan advocated for arguably the two biggest icons of the generation, “Steph and Bron, both would be epic.”

A Steph fan said Curry will start entering top-3 conversations with another title, “Steph wins #5 we pushing top 3 all-time agendas.”

LeBron fans were advocating for him extensively, “LeBron with ring 5 easily, c’mon now.”

Even KD fans got into the mix, “Love Bron but I need that 3rd KD ring.”

Along with these names, there are possible first-time champions that could emerge from the season in Jayson Tatum, Joel Embiid, and Nikola Jokic. It’s going to be a sprint to the NBA Finals for all these teams, some still trying to secure their path into the playoffs with 2 games left in the season.

A Legacy-Defining Championship?

Giannis, LeBron, Steph, and KD are the four faces of this generation. All four of them are members of the 75th Anniversary Team for their sensational achievements in the NBA. LeBron may be the highest all-time player among the four, but that could still change with what the others do this season.

There’s been debate about who’s better between Steph and LeBron, with LeBron’s career accolades often drowning Curry out. But if Steph wins this season for a fifth title before LeBron, that conversation will start shifting. Kevin Durant winning a title will finally give him a ring that fans won’t dismiss, as his previous two titles came on the stacked Warriors alongside Curry.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks are the likeliest out of the 3 to win a title this season, which will further add to his incredible legacy as someone who single-handedly brought title success to Milwaukee and surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the franchise GOAT and possibly a top-10 player all-time.
