Kyrie Irving led the way for his Dallas Mavericks in a big duel against one of the best teams in the NBA this season, the surprising Sacramento Kings. It was a crucial win for the Mavericks, who keep their playoff hope alive with this result.

Following the game, Kyrie reflected on playing 43 minutes while on Ramadan, admitting that he needed to get some food to face the second half of the game.

“I’m glad that we finished the game strong. It could have gone either way. I got some food in me in the second half. Sh*t, I had to get it going. Excuse my language, kids,” Kyrie explained after the game.

The Dallas Mavericks secured the 123-119 win over the Kings behind Kyrie’s 19-point explosion in the 4th quarter. We don’t know what he ate, but in Michael Jordan’s Space Jam style, his secret stuff gave him the strength to face the rest of the game.

Irving finished the match with 31 points, 4 rebounds, and 8 assists. Luka Doncic added 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists. With this win, the Mavericks tied the Oklahoma City Thunder for the 10th-best record in the Western Conference.

Dallas Mavericks Keep Playoff Hope Alive With This Big Win

This season has been full of ups and downs for the Mavs, but they appear to be getting better now that things are close to an end. The regular season is finishing next Sunday, and the Texans know they must win every game and hope that the Thunder make a mistake to get into the play-in tournament.

Irving is expected to help Luka Doncic win more games and compete for championships this season, but so far, they have struggled together. Still, the Mavericks keep their playoff hopes alive with this win, as well as Mark Cuban’s hopes to re-sign Kyrie past this season.

Dallas next faces the Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs, respectively, to finish the season and see if they can sneak into the play-in tournament.
