The Golden State Warriors faced off against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Chase Center and walked out with an emphatic 114-141 win in their first game since it was announced that Stephen Curry would be out for 4 weeks with an injury.

Klay Thompson was the star man on the night, leading the team with 42 points on the night with 12 made 3-point baskets. We know Thompson is among the greatest microwave scorers of all time and he showed that against a tough and scrappy Thunder team.

Fans were quick to react to a vintage performance from Thompson, especially with the concerns around the team with Stephen Curry sidelined.

Every win is a much-needed win for the Warriors as they try and separate themselves from the play-in race in the Western Conference. Winning against the Mavericks last time out and following it up with this win over OKC is a great sign for the team moving forward.

Are The Warriors Looking To Make Moves Before The Deadline?

Golden State needs to understand that their roster this season hasn’t been able to be as effective as expected. The Warriors will still be feared in the playoffs but they could do by adding a good player to the squad from the trade market.

The team clearly could use a center like Jakob Poeltl to tie their team together. He isn’t flashy and has shown that he can play his role as a coll-man and defender, with a soft touch around the rim.

Center options on the market have slimmed down since Myles Turner’s extension with the Pacers, so the Warriors should look to make a move sooner rather than later, especially with the information that Curry will be out till March.
