Zion Williamson has been a magnet of attention in the last few months, raising questions over his health and conditioning and his personal life. He has unintentionally brought some more negative attention to himself after sharing a video of his new tattoo, which has NBA fans around social media extremely amused.

One fan criticized every aspect of the tattoo and claimed he can’t support Zion anymore in a hilarious overreaction.
Off center, terrible design, terrible location, everything about this is terrible. Zion hive, it has been real but I am out! https://t.co/PCz5GOHRC0

Fans questioned Zion’s decision-making and maturity.
I think Zion is just legit a bad decision maker and has a child’s mind

The fact that the tattoo is off-center is bothering many fans on social media.

Some fans are hoping it’s a temporary tattoo, especially because it seems to be leaning more towards one side instead of being in the center.
Zion Williamson got a chest tattoo and it only took 3 hours to complete….I dunno man I hope that’s a temporary that shit leaning to the left titty pic.twitter.com/wEWvEOQfoh

More fans brought up how Zion has made a string of poor decisions since making it to the NBA in 2019.
That nigga Zion went to the NBA and just started making every poor decision in the books LMFAOOOOOOOOO

This is not nearly as egregious as some other Zion stories that have come out recently, but this is pretty funny. No one should care about what another person gets tattooed, but the fact it isn’t centered is genuinely amusing. He didn’t need to share the video either, as the tattoo will rarely be seen given Zion wears an undershirt under his jersey.
Poking fun at a tattoo is harmless, but Zion’s personal life has come under major scrutiny in recent months outside of social media jokes. His decision-making has been questioned multiple times, especially concerning how he treats his body. All of this becomes immaterial if Williamson manages to redeem his actions on the court.
Zion Williamson Earning His On-Court Plaudits Again
Zion hasn’t had a fast start to the season as we’ve seen in previous seasons from the Pelicans forward when he’s healthy. Usually, Zion storms the first few months of the season by helping the Pels look like a definite playoff team and cements an All-Star place as well. Unfortunately, in the two out of four seasons he has started healthy, he gets hurt in January and doesn’t reach those heights again in a season.
Zion has had a slower start in comparison, averaging 22.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 4.4 assists through the first 25 games of the season. The Pelicans have overcome a shaky start to solidify their position as a play-in team or a borderline sixth seed. They have a record of 17-14 so far this season.
There were many concerns raised around Zion’s fitness in November after looking particularly out of shape in the Pelicans’ In-Season Tournament loss to the Lakers. Critics came flying at Zion, along with a report that the Pelicans are still not pleased with his diet.
His max contract extension has multiple caveats in it to protect the Pelicans from paying $126 million to a player who’s habitually out of shape and injury-prone. His contract has already become non-guaranteed, so he needs to take extra care of himself to make sure he stays on the court.
A tattoo won’t change anything, but a commitment to bettering his off-court habits could finally help Zion reach his potential as an NBA superstar.
