The recent best-of-five playoff series between Real Madrid and Partizan Belgrade has grabbed a lot of attention from the media.

During Game 2 of the series, a brawl broke out involving players from both sides later in the fourth quarter. It featured a few former NBA players as well, most notably Guerschon Yabusele and Dante Exum. The highlight of the fight came when Yabusele slammed Exum to the ground, injuring the latter.

While Yabusele and Exum were in the spotlight, the brawl started when Sergio Llull committed a foul on Kevin Punter with less than two minutes left in the quarter to be played.

Real Madrid are among the heavyweights in the EuroLeague, but they were already down 0-1 in the series after suffering an 87-89 loss in Game 1 of the series.

Due to the fight in Game 2, it was forfeited and resulted in Partizan Belgrade getting a 2-0 lead in the series.

Madrid is now pushed to the ropes and is only one game away from getting knocked out of the playoffs. It must have played a role in the heated fight, which involved 21 players. After all, the entire Europe is trolling Madrid right now.

Can Partizan Belgrade Win The 2023 EuroLeague?

With 10 titles to its name, Real Madrid is the most successful team in the history of the EuroLeague. But even the best team in the tournament is having trouble winning against the legendary Zeljko Obradovic.

Obradovic took the head coaching job for Partizan Belgrade in 2021, and since then, he has turned the team around. So much so that they are now one of the favorites to win the 2023 EuroLeague tournament.

Speaking of Obradovic, he has had a legendary career in the EuroLeague. The 63-year-old already has nine EuroLeague titles to his name and can win the 10th this year.

Here’s a look at Obradovic’s insane resume:

Won the 1992 EuroLeague with BC Partizan Belgrade.

Won the 1994 EuroLeague with Joventut Badalona.

Won the 1995 EuroLeague with Real Madrid CF.

Won the 2000, 2002, 2007, 2009, and 2011 EuroLeague with Panathinaikos Athens

Won the 2017 EuroLeague with Fenerbahce Istanbul.

Keeping his insane resume in mind, Partizan Belgrade definitely has a good shot at winning the 2023 EuroLeague title if they eliminate Real Madrid in the next game.
