The Boston Celtics lost to the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals this season, and there’s no doubt that this was a disappointing outcome for a team that many thought would be a true contender. Many thought that the Celtics were the more talented team in the series, but clearly, talent wasn’t able to carry them over the finish line.

When speaking on The Old Man and the Three podcast recently, Miami Heat guard Gabe Vincent suggested that the reason the Celtics lost to the Heat was because there were some internal issues within the organization.

“Boston is a hell of a team… It almost seemed like to me truthfully, they had something going on over there… so much has to go right to win in this league. If you’re not fully right internally, it shows in different ways. I obviously don’t know if they were right internally or weren’t, but that was kind of the feel I had.”

If the Boston Celtics do have internal issues, then that is absolutely something they need to work on ahead of next season. Generally, teams need good chemistry to win championships, though it should be noted that disagreements between teammates are a normal part of any competitive sport.

The Contract Negotiations Between The Celtics And Jaylen Brown Are “Fragile”

The Boston Celtics and Jaylen Brown have not yet agreed on a supermax contract extension. Though many expect them to come to an agreement eventually, the negotiations have been described as “fragile”.

“The sides are talking. This is obviously a very important, fragile deal. I know that there’s interest on both sides to get something done. I would expect it to head in that direction.”

“I think it will get done, but he’s eligible for up to 35 percent of the salary cap, but he doesn’t have to get that. The Celtics can negotiate on that. They can negotiate on the player option. They can negotiate on several things.”

It remains to be seen if the Boston Celtics and Jaylen Brown will come to an agreement in the future. Things are certainly headed in that direction, but it is unclear what the exact terms of the deal will be as of right now.
