  • Giannis Antetokounmpo is open to a Saudi Arabia move
  • The superstar suggested that the NBA could work out a trade
  • Antetokounmpo has joked about joining soccer club Al-Hilal in the past

Power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the most dominant interior players in the game today and one of the faces of the league. He won the 2021 championship with the Milwaukee Bucks, and the team has been consistently competitive under his tenure.

Though Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the most loyal stars in the NBA, and it is likely that he will retire with the franchise. Still, the star has not ruled out a move elsewhere. In fact, recently, Giannis Antetokounmpo left the door open to playing in Saudi Arabia in the future, noting that he’d go there if the NBA could work out a trade, per TMZ Sports.

“If the NBA worked out, maybe like a trade between the NBA and Saudi Arabia League, I’m there!”

It remains to be seen if we will ever see Giannis Antetokounmpo will ever end up in Saudi Arabia in the future. It is hard to see him actually leave the NBA, considering it is the most competitive basketball league in the world. However, Antetokounmpo has joked about joining Al-Hilal before, and anything is possible.

This past season, Giannis Antetokounmpo averaged 31.1 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game for the Milwaukee Bucks. He would dominate in a Saudi Arabian basketball league, and if he were to go there, he could start a whole trend of stars heading to Saudi Arabia.

Several NBA Teams Are Monitoring Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Situation With The Milwaukee Bucks

As of right now, Giannis Antetokounmpo has not signed a new extension with the Milwaukee Bucks. In fact, several teams are monitoring Antetokounmpo’s situation as of right now.

“But it’s worth noting here that several teams are keeping an eye on the situation in Milwaukee concerning the future of Giannis Antetokounmpo, as we’ve previously noted. Antetkounmpo is eligible for an extension with Milwaukee this summer. Financially, it makes sense for Antetokounmpo to wait on signing an extension or new contract.”

We will see what ends up happening in the future regarding Giannis Antetokounmpo’s contract. The Milwaukee Bucks need to do whatever it takes to retain him, as Antetokounmpo is a top 5 player in the NBA right now and will continue to play at a superstar level for a long time. Hopefully, we see Antetokounmpo remain a Bucks player for life, though a future move cannot be ruled out at this moment.
