Giannis Antetokounmpo is already a top 75 player of all time, and he has already achieved most things there is to accomplish on the individual level. At this point, he simply has to continue winning championships to improve his legacy.

In a recent interview with Bryan Kalbroski of For The Win, Giannis Antetokounmpo opened up on how he wants to be remembered as a player. He claimed that he wants to be remembered for things off the court, such as his “work ethic”.

“I’m not done. I believe I have a long way to go. I try to work on my craft every single day. I want people to remember me not for the things I’ve accomplished on the court but for my attitude toward the game and my work ethic. I want people to remember me as more than just a basketball player. I want people to remember how I made people feel along this journey and if I inspired them to be better.”

There’s no doubt that Giannis Antetokounmpo is well-known for his achievements on the court, but his mentality and approach to the game are commendable. He has improved every single year of his career, and Antetokounmpo has inspired many with his journey from playing in Greece to winning a championship in the NBA.

As of right now, Giannis Antetokounmpo is averaging 31.2 PPG, 11.9 RPG, and 5.5 APG for the Milwaukee Bucks. There’s no doubt that he’s had an MVP-level season, and is one of the frontrunners for the award.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Has Been Dominant On Both Ends For The Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks wouldn’t be the same team on either end without Giannis Antetokounmpo. In fact, previously, Brian Windhorst claimed that his two-way play is the reason Antetokounmpo has his MVP vote.

“This guy does so much for his team at both ends of the court…he had my vote two weeks ago, he’s got my vote today…The Celtics haven’t done anything but win. The Celtics have been in first place since October, and they’re still playing great. And they just walked down by the Bucks because Giannis is driving that train.” said Windhorst.

Giannis Antetokounmpo has been dominant for the last few seasons, and it is clear that people have simply gotten used to his greatness. However, it is clear that Giannis Antetokounmpo doesn’t care about outside criticism, and values winning over everything else.

Hopefully, we see the Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo get far in the playoffs this year. They are an experienced team that has a good amount of talent, and we’ll see what happens in the future.
