Forward Kawhi Leonard is one of the top superstars in the league when he’s healthy, and there’s no doubt that he is the current face of the Los Angeles Clippers. Many appreciate his no-nonsense mindset on the court, and he is clearly a player that is there to simply hoop and win.

Recently, Russell Westbrook spoke out about Kawhi Leonard, praising the star’s greatness. He also joked about the star, saying that he doesn’t have to talk and that he can talk for Leonard, obviously alluding to Leonard’s quiet nature.

“Kawhi is great. He competes… He don’t gotta talk,” said Westbrook. “I can talk for him. I talk enough for everybody. Anything he needs from me he knows I have his back. And that’s vice versa.”

There’s no doubt that Russell Westbrook has been impressed with Kawhi Leonard thus far, and the Los Angeles Clippers have now won three games in a row. After an initial adjustment period, it is clear that both Westbrook and Leonard are thriving.

Kawhi Leonard is currently putting up 23.6 PPG, 6.3 RPG, and 3.9 APG for the Los Angeles Clippers, and he has looked like he’s back in prime form as of late. If he remains healthy the Clippers can get far in the playoffs, though obviously, some people will have concerns over his durability.

Kawhi Leonard Wanted Russell Westbrook On The Los Angeles Clippers

There is no doubt that Russell Westbrook has been a solid player for the Los Angeles Clippers thus far, and he was clearly a good acquisition for the team off the buyout market. Previously, Paul George explained that he and Kawhi Leonard wanted Westbrook on the Clippers to have a true point guard.

“We traded our two point guards (John and Reggie), so we were like we really needed a point. I thought I could do it buts it’s a lot, especially if you got Jrue Holiday picking you up and you gotta create.”

Even though Russell Westbrook has his flaws, there’s no doubt that being a floor general and getting assists is one of his strengths. Ty Lue has been putting him in positions to succeed, and hopefully, he can be an x-factor for them in the playoffs.

The Los Angeles Clippers definitely have the talent to get far in the playoffs this season. Hopefully, they end up figuring things out and developing some momentum leading into the postseason.
