“I’m Never Ducking Any Smoke,” Draymond Green Blasts Dillon Brooks For Rejecting ‘Villain’ Tag

Draymond Green and Dillon Brooks have beef, and whenever they have the chance, they exchange shots. Brooks has been quiet recently, but Green remains the same, sending messages to his rival.

After the Warriors secured the third win in their first-round series against the Sacramento Kings, Draymond took a shot at the Memphis Grizzlies star.

“I just be myself. I don’t go chasing after some villain title. Being a villain is no fun. It’s not enjoyable. But, I’m also never ducking any smoke,” Green said.

This comes after Dillon Brooks accused the media of portraying him as a villain for some time now and things blew up after he called LeBron James ‘old’ while also disrespecting the King’s career.

After that infamous Game 2 conversation with reporters, the Lakers won the next two games, leaving the Grizzlies in a complex position and Brooks unable to respond to James and his team.

The player even refused to address the media, simply skipping post-game conferences. This situation earned him a lot of criticism from fans and even Damian Lillard, who said he can’t act like a tough guy and then have a mental breakdown when things aren’t going his way.

Now, Draymond is the one kicking Brooks, and this is more personal since they’ve been beefing for a while. Green is focused on beating the Sacramento Kings, but he’s also paying attention to everything happening around the league.

Dillon Brooks Has Been Terrible For The Grizzlies Since He Called Out LeBron James

As for Brooks, his performances were incredibly bad after he decided to disrespect LeBron James. The King said he wouldn’t entertain any of that, making it clear he would let his game do the talk, and he posted two solid games.

The swingman looked like a different player after that second game, and fans have noticed that.

Brooks couldn’t keep up and came up with 7 points in Game 3 (where he was ejected), 11 points in Game 4, and even in Wednesday’s night game, he barely scored 8 points for his Grizzlies.

Dillon has earned a lot of hate since he and the Grizzlies started acting like something they weren’t, going ahead of themselves and talking like winners when they didn’t win anything in this league. Now it’s too late to change the perception of them, but he can’t keep running away from the media.
