Jaren Jackson Jr. has secured the bag after reports surfaced announcing his millionaire contract extension with the Memphis Grizzlies. After reaching the playoff last season, the Grizzlies are ready to emulate their performance, and re-signing Jackson was mandatory.

The big man is in for a breakout season, trying to become one of the best young players in the league. If this team has hopes to compete for a playoff berth, it’s because they have two stars in the making in Ja Morant and Jackson, who are expected to lead the squad to compete in the future.

After the news of Jackson signing a new contract saw the light, his partner in crime Morant reacted to it, sending a warning to the rest of the league. The point guard only used two emojis to announce he and Jackson are coming after everybody.

The Grizzlies are a young and exciting team that could make a lot of noise in the West in the years to come. Ja and Jaren are the cornerstones of this team, and they have a terrific relationship.

Jackson recently praised his teammate, explaining how much Morant loves the game and how well he understands it.

He just knows the game so well. He really loves the game, it’s in his blood. There’s a lot of things on the court that we don’t even really have to talk about. Just glances and hand motions. Just sleight of hand, talking. It doesn’t have to be discussed cause we both watch a lot of film… we both love the game, so it’s kinda like a language there.

If they manage to keep their core together, the Grizzlies can become a real threat to their rivals. This one-two punch duo can take this team to the top if they keep developing and growing together. The future is bright for Memphis, and they’re ready to make a statement.
