Jamal Crawford got pretty emotional on his 43rd birthday. The three-time NBA Sixth Man of the Year took to Instagram to pen a heartfelt message on the special occasion and even shared some never-seen-before images for the world to see.

“Man, I turned 43 today- so excuse me, but In a really reflective mood lol,” Crawford wrote. “Some of these pictures have never been seen, but almost every picture represents a different stage I was at in life. From my childhood to playing career against the best players ever- to life after basketball.”

Crawford went on explain the pictures. One of them was pointing to an image of Michael Jordan. “We were in Jordan’s restaurant, and at that moment it just hit me. The guy who helped me fall in love with the game, it was the perfect time to let it go at his place,” he said.

He also thanked TNT for giving him a stint after calling time on his decorated career while also adding for good measure that he wouldn’t disappoint the network.

“So if you’ve seen me from either that kid in the first picture, or along this journey to this 43-year-old man. If I’ve never met you, or if I have met you- had any kind of interaction, any kind of brief conversation, I hope it was positive. I hope it was genuine, hope it helped in some way shape, or form. From my heart, I’m genuinely thankful for all of y’all.” he signed off.

The former Chicago Bulls star has had some of his achievements etched in NBA history. He has the distinction of being the second player in league history to have scored 10,000+ career points while coming off the bench. He also has a record for being an all-time leader in four-point plays.

Jamal Crawford Received Massive Love From Dwyane Wade After Replacing Him On TNT Show

Crawford was the one who succeeded former Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade on TNT, and the latter was all praise for the sharpshooter taking his place.

Taking to Twitter, “It’s not my position. JC will be himself.” Wade said. “His basketball knowledge is thru the roof. I can’t wait to hear his perspective and insights on the game we all love!”

Crawford has made a case for himself as one of the better sports analysts on TV, and TNT will be happy to have his services going. For now, he’s basking in the glory of a stellar career.

The post on Instagram stands as a testimony to what Crawford has achieved over the course of his illustrious career. On that note, here’s wishing more happiness to the icon.
