James Harden’s future doesn’t get talked about as much as Kyrie Irving’s and even Damian Lillard’s, but the talented shooting guard is a free agent that could join a contender and make them serious championship favorites.

With the Phoenix Suns undecisive about what they’ll do with Chris Paul, Harden could be a player to watch to join the Suns and give it another run at the NBA championship next year.

“I’m simultaneously texting like four people as you just read that to me because it’s really shocking. They don’t do that unless they feel really good about somebody else. I want you to keep your eye on James Harden,” ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne claimed on ESPN 710’s Mason and Ireland show Wednesday.

“I don’t want to report anything but that was in the wind in the last month or so. Everybody thinks it’s like Philly or Houston but I don’t know. There has been discussion in the wind.”

.@ramonashelburne was live on @VeniceMase and @LAIreland when the breaking news about CP3 being waived was dropped.

Lakers fans, would you want to see Chris Paul in the purple and gold?

Harden spent the last season and a half with the Philadelphia 76ers, unable to get past the Second Round of the playoffs in each season, finishing two seasons alongside Joel Embiid and Doc Rivers in a bad way.

The Beard remains a hot star in the league, and now that he’s free, he won’t miss suitors for his services. Harden showed that he can still be helpful for a team in the league, and whoever lands him will get a solid player.

The Suns couldn’t get past the Denver Nuggets in the 2023 NBA Playoffs, and they’re set to bounce back next season and challenge for the championship.

James Harden Is Reportedly Unclear On His Future With Sixers And Rockets

After his season with the Philadelphia 76ers finished, Harden opted out of his $35.6 million player option to hit free agency and see what kind of contract he can get in the free market. He signed a 2-year, $68,640,000 contract with the Sixers last campaign.

In 58 games with the Sixers, Harden averaged 21.0 points, 10.7 assists, and 6.1 rebounds, shooting 44.1% from the field, 38.5% from beyond the arc, and 86.7% from the free-throw line.

Recent reports suggest he’s ‘torn’ between the Sixers and Houston Rockets, and now the Suns could make a shocking appearance to lure him away from Philadelphia or Houston. Harden could make a big impact on the league this offseason and change the way teams will move to get their desired assets.
