Center Nikola Jokic is having a spectacular playoff run thus far, leading the Denver Nuggets to the NBA Finals. The Nuggets are definitely the favorite to win the series against the Miami Heat and have recently won Game 3 with a final score of 109-94.
There is no doubt that many are impressed with Nikola Jokic’s playoff run, and it seems as though one of those people is former player Jay Williams. In fact, recently, he claimed that Nikola Jokic will finish his career as the best center of all time.
“I’m gonna go with the one player that I think frankly before it’s all said and done, he will be the best center to ever play the game of basketball. There you go. I’ve said it. Nikola Jokic,” said Williams.

As of right now, Nikola Jokic is averaging 30.5 PPG, 13.4 RPG, and 10.1 APG in the playoffs for the Denver Nuggets. There’s no doubt that this is a fantastic playoff run and definitely one of the best playoff runs that we’ve seen in recent memory.
Ultimately though, what will determine if Nikola Jokic ends as the greatest center of all time is championships. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has six rings, Shaquille O’Neal has four rings, and Hakeem Olajuwon has two rings. Nikola Jokic has a good chance of winning his first ring this season.
Nikola Jokic Is Focused On Winning The Championship
In Game 3, Nikola Jokic put up 32 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists. He was the first player in NBA Finals history to put up a 30-20-10 stat line. However, when asked about what it means to him, he claimed that it doesn’t matter that much to him, noting that he’s just happy to win the game.
“I mean, to be honest, not much,” Jokic said. “… I’m just glad we won a game. It was a big one for us.”
There’s no doubt that a championship is the main thing that is missing from Nikola Jokic’s resume. He has stated before that he wants to bring a championship to the Nuggets, and it is clear that now he has a realistic chance to do so. Hopefully, we will see him finish the job and close out the Miami Heat in this series.
