Jaylen Brown could see a $100 million hike if he makes one of the three five-man All-NBA teams in 2022.

Should the guard indeed achieve that objective, he will be eligible to receive a five-year, $290 million supermax contract extension from the Boston Celtics in the summer, per NBC Sports. This totals it to a $100 million more than then our-year, $ 190 million deal if he doesn’t get the All-NBA nod.

On his part, Brown has been vocal about why he deserves to be on the All-NBA team. “I think I’m more than deserving,” he explained.

“This is the second-best team in the league. I’ve played nothing but winning basketball, helped lead my team and I’m in the [top] 10 in scoring and I’m efficient. I guess you look at the criteria and I think I more than meet them. We’ve dominated for the most part of the season. I’ve been available. What more do people want? But it’s out of my control.”

And Brown has the numbers to show for. This regular season saw him average 26.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists. On the money front, he made a $2 million bonus after the Celtics game against the Bucks.

The guard earned $518,000 for playing 65 games this season and an additional $1.55 million for games played and making the All-Stars. His stellar feat this season indicates he is well on track for a solid paycheck with Boston.

Jaylen Brown Is A Potential Trade Target For The Portland Trail Blazers

After enduring a torrid season, the Portland Trail Blazers are under immense pressure to land a superstar alongside Damian Lillard, and per NBA insider Jake Fishcher, the latter has Brown on his radar.

“I’ll say this, Jaylen Brown is a player that Damian Lillard has had on his list,” Fischer opined when sharing his thoughts on the player and team situation this summer.

And it just might be important news to make note of, especially after Brown’s future with the Celtics is in doubt.

“Something is going on in that locker room or in that organization because he is giving me all the signs that he wants out of Boston,” said Kendrick Perkins earlier. “Whether it’s him addressing the fanbase, whether it’s him basically talking about, let’s see how much the organization really values me because my name is in trade rumors every single year.”

For now, all focus is on Brown, his All-NBA team status and the Celtics gunning for a championship.
