Jayson Tatum took control of Game 7 against the Philadelphia 76ers and sent them home with a legendary 51-point performance.

Up until this season, no player had scored 50 points in a Game 7. Now we have two players that have done this, as Stephen Curry scored 50 in Game 7 in the first round against the Kings. Jayson Tatum has surpassed him with 51 points in Game 7 against the 76ers.

Tatum scored 51 points along with grabbing 13 rebounds and 5 assists. What’s remarkable is that Tatum also stayed extremely active defensively and was a huge reason why the 76ers couldn’t score more than 88 points on the night.

Throughout these playoffs, Tatum has averaged 28.2 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 5.2 assists in 13 games.

NBA Finals Bound?

The Boston Celtics look increasingly likely to repeat their NBA Finals appearance from last season, as they will match up with the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals. Even though the Heat have had a fantastic run through the playoffs this season, the sheer talent of the Celtics may be hard for them to overcome. This is a rematch from last season, as the Heat lost 4-3 in the Conference Finals last season as well.

The Celtics are being looked at as the favorites to win the title, but this has been a playoff littered with upsets. The Heat cannot be counted out with the sensational coaching of Erik Spoelstra and generational play from Jimmy Butler leading them to a magical 8th-seed run to the Finals.
