Jayson Tatum is one of the best young players in the league. He has shown that during these playoffs, and his ability to score near the rim and from beyond the arc was on full display. Over the course of the playoffs, Jayson Tatum is averaging 29.5 PPG, 4.5 RPG, and 7.3 APG.

After completing the Celtics’ sweep of the Nets, Jayson Tatum was asked about battling Kevin Durant during the series. He claimed that Kevin Durant brought “the best” out of him, but added that he “wasn’t surprised” at his level of play, as he feels like he is one of the best players in the world.

Jayson Tatum on battling Kevin Durant: “Somebody like that, he brought the best out of me. I knew I had to be on top of my game in this series. But in the same breath, I wasn’t surprised by how I played. I do feel like I’m one of the best players.”

After these playoffs, Jayson will definitely be on a lot of people’s top-5 lists. He is turning into a top-tier all-around forward, and it is a wonderful sight to see. One of the biggest leaps that are noticeable in his game is his playmaking. In fact, Jayson Tatum knew he had to improve in that area, previously even claiming that he needs to “try to make everyone else around me better” to become a top-5 player.

I just got to be better. I have to elevate my level from being one of the top 10 to 15 players to a top-5 player. I have to try to make everyone else around me better,

The Boston Celtics are a team that could potentially get out of the Eastern Conference, and perhaps win it all. They have star power and good depth, and their defense is top-tier.

Jayson Tatum will need to keep playing at a high level for the Celtics to win a championship. He has looked flat-out dominant against the Nets, and perhaps we’ll see that continue in the Celtics’ 2nd round series.
