Jayson Tatum can’t wait to share the floor with Robert Williams, and the forward made his feelings clear about it.

Williams played a key role in Boston’s 121-116 win against the San Antonio Spurs, and while he’s yet to start a game with the think-tank being careful about his injury, Tatum wants him to play for longer as he brings more teeth on the defensive end.

Speaking to the press after their hard-fought win, the 24-year-old shared his two cents on playing more alongside Williams. Per NBC Sports Boston:

“I asked him, ‘are you still on minute restriction?’ and he was like, ‘nah.’ and I was like, ‘well get your ass back in the game.'” Jayson Tatum talks about wanting as much time as possible on the floor with Rob Williams #BleedGreen

“Whether he starts or comes off the bench, [I] just want him on the floor. Want him healthy. And want to be on the floor with him at the same time as much as possible. So, you know, I’m gonna start, so I would like Rob to start, but, you know, whatever’s best for the team, he’ll do that. And, you know, as much as I can be on the court with him as possible, you know, I think [that] makes us better.”

The Celtics bounced back with a win after two consecutive losses, and Tatum was at the forefront of their victory against the Spurs with 34 points, 2 rebounds, and 6 assists.

Jayson Tatum Hints At Kemba Walker Signing With The Celtics

Kemba Walker had a stint with the Celtics before moving bases, but his recent waiver from Dallas might see him go back to donning the Boston green again.

Tatum hinted as much with a cryptic tweet, and only time will tell if he indeed suits up with the Celtics again.

Tatum and Jaylen Brown have been the architects behind the team’s stellar run this season and are set to make another playoff and beyond push. The former is also a constant name in the MVP chatter, with experts predicting that he might bag one if the Celtics end up winning the final stretch.

Boston plays the Chicago Bulls next, followed by a clash against the New Orleans Pelicans.
