LeBron James has officially set the alarms for the Los Angeles Lakers, as the 4x NBA champion recently voiced his frustrations with the team’s current state. James, who is playing his fifth season with the Purple and Gold, is having a sweet moment on the court, posting incredible numbers.
However, he’s made it very clear that the Lakers need to do something to have a bigger chance to compete for a playoff spot and even the NBA championship. He can only do so much for his team, which is why he wants to get more help, especially now that Anthony Davis is sidelined with a right foot injury.
Following a great win against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night, the King made some huge comments to Sam Amick of The Athletic, making it clear that he’s unhappy with the team’s passivity when it comes to trades, admitting that he wants to see some changes on the roster.
NBA Fans Go Off On LeBron James After His Recent Remarks
In recent weeks, LeBron was said to be sending cryptic messages to the Lakers’ front office, using Instagram stories and even questions from the press to send hints about his unhappiness with the Lakers’ current roster.
After his big ‘revelation’ to Amick, many fans reacted to his words, saying a lot about it. Mainly, they called out LeBron for pretty much building this Lakers roster and then complaining because it didn’t go as he expected.
LeBron opens up on the Lakers’ roster construction:
“Y’all know what the f*ck should be happening. I don’t need to talk.” 😳

He handpicked his roster & demands more help. People desperately want to anoint him as the GOAT but he has had more help than any superstar in nba history, has lost more than he has won in the finals, and is still two rings short of tying MJ despite playing much longer

Hey dude, when 3 guys make ALL the $ how are you supposed to field a competitive roster with depth???!!! 38 year old guys need to look in the mirror. Championships are grown..not bought!!! Lakers drool!!!!!!

Idk why y’all are bashing him for wanting a better roster. If it’s clearly not getting it done why wouldn’t you want you best player to want moves so that the franchise can succeed. Y’all just wanna hate for no reason

On another note, Lakers gonna make the playoffs and be a tough out if healthy. This stretch has been a great opportunity for Schroder and Thomas Bryant to gain confidence. And Lebron a top 5 current player in league

The Lakers have been linked with a series of players recently, including Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine, as well as Utah Jazz’s sixth man Jordan Clarkson and Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner.
Things could get really interesting for the Lakers in the foreseeable future, for good or bad. The front office is reportedly ready to play this season out with the current roster and see what they can do in the offseason. However, LeBron doesn’t want that, and he’s urging them to make a move before it’s late.
