We have seen a lot of players engage in trash talk within the NBA, but there are definitely some players one shouldn’t rile up. One of those players is Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler.

Recently, we saw Grant Williams trash-talk Jimmy Butler in Game 2. There’s no doubt that this was a poor choice, as Butler ended up leading the Heat to a victory over the Celtics. After the game, Jimmy Butler destroyed Grant Williams and the Celtics for doing so, quipping that “there’s no way” the team thought this was the answer to get a win.

With some players, it is clearly unwise to proverbially “poke the bear”, and Jimmy Butler punished the Celtics for trying to trash-talk him. Still, the Boston Celtics do have a chance to win this series, but they will need to win multiple away games to make that happen.

In the playoffs, Jimmy Butler has averaged 31.1 PPG, 6.6 RPG, and 5.6 APG for the Miami Heat. He has been playing at a superstar-level, and it seems as though there is a good chance the Heat will make it back to the NBA Finals.
