The Golden State Warriors recently beat the Portland Trail Blazers to finally lift their record above .500. The team has started finding its rhythm in Stephen Curry’s absence, and they have now rattled off 4 straight wins. The likes of Draymond Green, Jordan Poole, and Klay Thompson have all stepped up massively, and the team is trending in the right direction after some concerning results earlier in the season.
Draymond Green and Jordan Poole have both been trying to move on from the punching incident in the offseason. And while the two have been spotted enjoying a conversation now and again, things aren’t completely okay with them yet, either. It doesn’t help that rival fans also taunt Poole about getting clocked by Green, which means the memory remains fresh. And while they aren’t speaking about it, it’s what Poole didn’t say after the Warriors beat the Blazers that has caught people’s eye.
Jordan Poole Didn’t Mention Draymond Green While Answering A Question And It Seemed Like A Snub
In the last 4 games, the Warriors have won, and Jordan Poole has averaged more than 30 points per game. His biggest game of the stretch was against the Blazers, he dropped 41 in the win. And when asked about it afterward, he mentioned and praised all his teammates save for Green.
Wow #JordanPoole is slick at hell with this @Money23Green shade 😂😂😂. Crushed my @trailblazers, had my man @Dame_Lillard storm off the court then this dude sits on the podium and shouts out every @warriors teammate beside Draymond lmaoooo 😭😭😭 cool ass playa pic.twitter.com/qqASDmBSqe

“I missed a couple easy ones that I would like to have back,” Poole said. “But just playing through the offense. Shout out to my teammates for looking for me, getting me open, trusting me to make the right play. But also just being able to go out there and be aggressive, you know, all night. And we just keyed in on that offensive end and we picked it up on the defensive end later in the game, and it was a team effort, total team effort.
“Donte [DiVincenzo] played a huge, Klay [Thmopson] played huge, Ty [Jerome] played huge, JK [Jonathan Kuminga], everybody. Moses [Moody] came in, gave us good minutes. So, in the league it’s a long season and everybody’s a good team. So you got to just find ways to just grit it out at the end and continue to keep going.”
Draymond Green played 32 minutes in the win and had a double-double, so for Poole to not mention him is surely something that stands out. The Warriors have been struggling this season, and the situation between Green and Poole has been far from helpful. The hope is, though, that they can all figure it out at some point.
