The Brooklyn Nets fans were relentless in their shots at Jordan Poole when the Golden State Warriors played against Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving earlier this week.

Continuing their scintillating run, the Nets trounced the Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson-less Warriors 143-113. And the fans rubbed it in by mocking Poole and Draymond Green.

With the scoreboard reading 95-54, Poole made his way to the free throw line after being fouled by Nic Claxton, and as he loaded up, fans began their chant, and the guard clearly didn’t appreciate what was being sung.

The locker room dustup between Poole and Green made headlines during the offseason, with the latter even fined an undisclosed amount for his actions. And the Nets fans used it to their advantage. On the game front, Poole managed only 13 points with 1 rebound and 2 assists.

When Will Stephen Curry Return From His Shoulder Injury?

It was a severely short-handed Warriors side that took the floor against Brooklyn, and the result was out there to see. However, the defending champions will have their work cut out as they approach their next few games without Stephen Curry in the mix.

Curry suffered a shoulder injury against the Indiana Pacers earlier this month, and his update when Golden State played the New York Knicks wasn’t a good one. According to Sports Illustrated:

“This is an interesting one just because I haven’t had an injury like this to the shoulder. So it’s kind of a wait-and-see approach,” Curry said during the Warriors’ game against the Knicks. “I’m still in the early healing process, so I’m nowhere near, even like, picking up a basketball yet.”

“It’ll be a few weeks. I think into the New Year and I’ll start to key in on a timeline from there.”

Much of Curry’s responsibilities fall on Poole’s shoulders. The latter has been averaging 19.1 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 4.4 assists. The 23-year-old has shown glimpses of his capability this season, but the Warriors (currently 15-18 and 11th in the West) will need more from him to finish their year on a good note.

The Warriors play the Memphis Grizzlies on Christmas Day, followed by a skirmish against the Charlotte Hornets.
