The 2022-23 NBA season has been full of ups and downs for the Los Angeles Lakers. Due to their constant struggles, it’s no surprise that the Purple and Gold are still only the 13th seed in the Western Conference heading into the NBA All-Star break.

However, since the NBA Trade Deadline, the morale of the Los Angeles Lakers has undoubtedly been boosted. The credit goes to Rob Pelinka’s wise decision to add more help around LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Following the recent dominant win against the New Orleans Pelicans, LeBron James praised the new acquisitions made by the Los Angeles Lakers. James finally looks happy with the roster of the Lakers. The team has added D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, Jarred Vanderbilt, Mo Bamba, and Rui Hachimura to the roster in recent weeks.

Former NBA player and current analyst Kenny Smith recently talked about the new-look Lakers roster as well. Smith believes this is the most talented roster the Lakers have put LeBron James on since they had Kyle Kuzma and won the NBA Championship in the Orlando Bubble.

“I’mma tell you what. I watched the Los Angeles Lakers play last night. … That’s the most talented Lakers team that LeBron has been on since [Kyle] Kuzma and those guys in the bubble. Without question. That has a lot of talent on that team.”

The Lakers registered an easy 120-102 win against the Pelicans, but the job is not over for the team. If anything, it has only started for the iconic NBA franchise in the 2022-23 NBA season.

The Los Angeles Lakers Need To Make One Final Push After The NBA All-Star Break

The Lakers have a 27-32 record heading into the NBA All-Star break. Following the break, the team needs to have utmost focus and put their foot on the gas pedal.

In order to do that, the Lakers need to be 100% focused. LeBron James issued this message to his teammates ahead of the NBA All-Star weekend. James wants them to enjoy the break and not get detached.

The Lakers have just 23 games left to play in the 2022-23 NBA season, and they realistically have a shot at making it to the NBA playoffs.
