Kevin Durant made a candid revelation about what it meant for him to win his third NBA championship.

“I want to play until I can’t no more, man,” he told The Ringer’s Logan Murdock. “A title is incredible, but what it’s going to mean to me as an individual?”

“I want to win a title for a city, for my teammates, for the organization. Is it going to get me more notoriety, more attention, a ring? It’s not really about me. That’s how I look at championships. So I want to do this together. I’m looking forward to going on the journey with these guys,” the veteran added.

Durant was one of the bigger stories ahead of the trade deadline this season. He was traded to the Phoenix Suns soon after Kyrie Irving’s move to the Dallas Mavericks. While the latter ended his run by failing to make the playoffs, Durant and the Suns are on the way to the second round after gaining a healthy 3-1 lead over the LA Clippers in the first round.

The forward won both his championships with the Golden State Warriors but was unable to get his third ring after his move to Brooklyn. Now, he puts his hat in the ring for another title — this time with Suns, who will be winning their maiden silverware if they indeed go the distance.

Can Kevin Durant And The Phoenix Suns Coast Against The LA Clippers?

Looking at the 3-1 scoreline, one would suggest that the Suns are the superior team when it comes to betting on who would make the second round. However, the LA Clippers, despite the absence of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, aren’t the ones to go down easy.

Russell Westbrook has been a force for the Clippers in the playoffs, and while he may not be his explosive former MVP self, he still had some enticing performances against the Suns.

Phoenix has seen some stunning play from Devin Booker and Durant, while Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton have put in solid contributions to get a dominant lead.

Come Tuesday, they are firm favorites to eliminate the Clippers. But stranger things have happened in the playoffs, and it remains to be seen if the latter will take Durant and the Suns deeper into the series.
