The NBA has just been shaken to its core as a sensational trade has just taken place. The Brooklyn Nets have completed blowing up their roster by sending Kevin Durant to the Phoenix Suns for an extremely impressive package of picks and players.

The Nets are receiving Mikal Bridges, Jae Crowder, Cameron Johnson, and four first-round picks in this deal that changes the balance of power in the Western Conference.

The Suns have had a tough season after Devin Booker went down with an injury in December. Kevin Durant saw his co-star, Kyrie Irving go to the Dallas Mavericks, so he has joined the team that lost to the Mavs last playoffs in the Phoenix Suns, with the Nets receiving a massive package for the same.

New Suns owner Mat Ishbia was expected to make a blockbuster trade as soon as he assumed control of the franchise. this trade is precisely that. No matter what, the Suns cannot be doubted any longer with a trio of Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, and Devin Booker, to go along with their max center Deandre Ayton.

Are The Suns Favorites In The West?

It is going to be extremely hard to overlook the Phoenix Suns as the most potent team in the Western Conference. After watching the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers make big swings to improve their roster, the Suns have responded with arguably the biggest trade move in the NBA since Anthony Davis went to the Lakers in 2019.

Durant and Booker will possibly be the most potent offensive duo in the NBA. If Ayton can just execute within his role and CP3 can be the elite floor general that he is, the Suns are going to go back to the NBA Finals and challenge any of the Eastern Conference teams that they possibly meet.
