Klay Thompson has had a fantastic year coming back from injury and despite some early struggles during the regular season, he had his moments in the playoffs and helped the Golden State Warriors capture their fourth championship during the Stephen Curry era.

After a team wins a championship, they have a parade in their city to celebrate the achievement. Naturally, the Golden State Warriors have their parade today. During the parade, Klay Thompson was spotted by cameras seemingly dropping one of his 4 championship rings, but then picking it up and kissing it before he moved on.

Championship rings are extremely valuable, and there is no doubt that it would have been unfortunate for Klay Thompson were he to lose one of his rings. There have been players that have sold their championship rings though, with Celtics legend Bill Russell notably putting all 11 of his championship rings up for auction in 2021. However, it is good to see that Klay Thompson’s rings are intact and that he will have them in his trophy cabinet for years to come.

The Golden State Warriors are a team that is set up to contend for the next few years, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them winning the championship next year and going back-to-back. They have a great veteran core, as well as a lot of young talent in the pipeline, such as lottery picks Jonathan Kuminga, James Wiseman, and Moses Moody.

The Western Conference will be a lot tougher next season, and we’ll see how the Golden State Warriors end up doing. However, it is quite likely that they are confident about their chances: the Warriors have a well-balanced team, and they can beat any team on any given night. They will most likely run it back with minor changes, and there is no doubt that they will be tough to beat for any other contender in the Western Conference.
